and thank you very much for the comment. Sometime photography can stand alone, sometime it needs an explication caption, sometimes it’s just a choice. It’s difficult for me to fix precise rules. But I think the real problem with Internet today is that blogs push the visitors to a consumerist usage of photography. Ask authors to write long and in depth articles is my invitation for everyone to slow down and learn again to appreciate a more complete set of informations. Furthermore I love reading, and CO is a kind of collective literature experiment.
Happy you like it!

Thank you for sharing. This is such an inspiration, and I for one seem to be in the habit of posting photos, without the story. Birgit’s story and photos are lovely. What a story, and a topic on such an interesting part of our world. I agree with Lyuba, we will hear more of Birgit. She has a true gift. But, importantly, this showed exactly what the lpv article talked about. Show us the story, and then tell the story. I noticed at the recent wpo festivall in London last week, that all of Bruce Davidson’s photos had the most boring titles. Didn’t do the photos justice, and in fact, actually harmed them. Perhaps by not telling the story in words, not just photos, does the same. Food for thought, for sure. Thank you.
